Abstract
Background: The postpartum period is a period that begins after the placenta is born and ends when the biological organs return before becoming pregnant. The postpartum period lasts for approximately 2-6 weeks. Breast milk is the best food for babies. Oxytocin massage is one solution to overcome the ineffectiveness of breastfeeding. General purpose: Describe nursing care applying the oxytocin massage in primipara postpartum mothers with the problem of ineffectiveness in braestfeeding. Results of nursing care: From the results of the assessment of the three clients, the main nursing problems were found to be ineffectivene in breastfeeding. Interventions are carried out by examining the causes of lack of milk production, teaching clients how to breastfeed, teaching clients and families how to massage oxytocin, teaching clients how the breastfeed well and correctly, explain to the client the importance of the benefits of breastfeeding. The implementation carried out breast care and oxytocin massage for 3 days, massage performed 2 times a aday for 3 minutes by involving the family, theaching how to breastfeed properly and correctly, baby snekling baby is not just filmed so it will stimulate the release of breast milk, explain the benefits of ASI for her baby's immunity. The evaluation results from nursing care show breastfeeding to be effective, clients feel comfortable, breats enlarge, not palpable dams on the breast, nipples protrude, breast milk out/smoothly, baby after oxytocin massage. Recommendation: Tha application of oxytocin massage should be carried out in every health facility by involving so that the post partum mother does not experience breastfeeding ineffective problems.
