Abstract
Background : Asthma is a chronic inflammatory airway disease caused by a hyperresponse reaction to the bodys immune cells such as mast cells, eosinphils and Tlymphocytes against certain stimuli and cause symptoms of dyspea, whezzing, and coughing due to airway obstruction that is reversible and recurs episodically. So to overcome this problem can be done buteyko breathing techriques with mint leavey aromatherapy. Objective : Knowing the effect of giving buteyko breathing tecniques with mint aromatherapy leaves to overcome shortness of breath. Method : This writing uses a descriptive method that is the scientific method that functions to describe, the image of the object about what will be examined through a collection of some existing data. Results : After the buteyko breathing technique with mint aromatherapy leaves to overcome airway problems in asthma patients. It was found that respiration and pulse prior to the application of the buteyko breathing technique with mint aromatherapy leaves 108x/minute, 90x/minute and respiration 26x/minute, 27x/minute. And after the action of applying the buteyko breathing technique with mint aromatherapy leaves 90x/minute, 90x/minute and respirastion 22x/minute, 23x/minute. Recommendation : Buteyko breathing technique with mint aromatherapy leaves, the efective reduces symptoms off shortness of breath and decrease breathing frequeny and increases oxygen saturation in patients with asthma diagnosed.
