Abstract
Background: Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is one of the most common health problems. The best long-term management in BPH patients is surgery. Surgical procedures often have side effects that cannot be avoided by every patient who undergoes surgery, among others, pain. Non farmacological pain management is one of benson relaxation Purpose: writing this scientific paper to explain the application of benson relaxation to overcome the problem of pain in patients post operative Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH) in dr Soedirman Hospital of Kebumen Method: This scientific paper uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. Data is obtained from the results of observation of interviews, physical examinations, and study of documentation. The subjects consisted of 2 patients post surgery for Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH). Results: The evaluation results showed a decrease in pain symptoms after benson relaxation. Patient Client I experienced a decrease in pain from scale 5 on the first day and scale 2 on day 3 while Client II experienced a decrease in pain from scale 5 on the first day and scale 2 on day 3. Recommendation: Benson relaxation can reduce post operative pain Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH).
