Abstract
Baground: The decrease of breast milk production and expenditure in the early days after childbrith may caused by the lack of prolactin and oxytocin hormones these hormones play a role in the smoothness of breast milk production and expenditure. Oxytocin massage using lavender essential oil is one of the ways how to stimulate the hormone prolactin and oxyticin out. Objective: Describing the application of oxytacin massage in nursing care with using lavender essential oil toincreasemilk production of post partum mothers, Method: This method of scientific writing uses a descriptive method with two spontaneous post-partum mother subjects on the first day, the frequency of giving massage twice a day for 3 days. Conducted on February 14-17 in PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong with observation, demonstration and interview methods. Results: The study was carried out on two patients with spontaneous postpartum mothers who had not yet breastfed, taking oxytocin massage for 2 times a day for 3 days. Evaluation was seen from the smooth production of breast milk in post partum mothers before the application of oxytocin massage using lavender essential oil in the non-fluent category. After the oxytocin massage, use lavender essential oil in the smooth category. Recommendation: Massage oxytocin using lavender essential oil can be used to stimulate the release of breast milk in the hospital in the postpartum mother.
