Abstract

Background: Most asthma patients experience problems of ineffective breathing pattern, before giving oxygenation the most effective position for asthma patients / shortness of breath is the semi-fowler position, where the head and body are raised 45o and oxygen in the lungs increases so that it can ease shortness of breath . Ineffective breath pattern is a condition where inspiration or expiration does not provide adequate ventilation. Asthma is characterized by shortness of breath, coughing. Many factors cause asthma, such as air pollution, cold, stress, and exhausting activity. Purpose: This case study explains the nursing care of asthmatics with the ineffectiveness of breathing patterns by providing oxygenated binasal kanul Method: This paper uses a descriptive method with a case study approach, data collected from interviews, observations, physical examinations, the subject consisted of 2 asthma patients who were given 3-5Lpm cannabal oxygenation therapy Results: After 3 days of nursing care and oxygenation of the canal binasal 3-5Lpm nursing ineffective nursing care pattern in patients 1 and 2 can be partially overcome from RR: 29x / minute to 25x / minute
