Abstract

Background: Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (MOH) in 2013 the number of accidents occurred 5.8% injured and eight million people suffered a fracture. The type of fracture that often occurs is lower extremities 65.2%, upper limbs 36.9%. Acute pain is a problem that is often found in fracture patients. Non-pharmacological management of deep breathing relaxation is still rarely done in the hospital emergency room. Objective: Writing out the results of nursing care fulfillment of the need for a sense of comfort: acute pain in patients with limb fractures in the emergency room Dr. Sudirman Research methods: use descriptive case study methods. There were 2 participants of the right femur fracture and the femoral fracture in the emergency room of Dr. RSU General Hospital. Sudirman Results: After 3 days of treatment the acute pain associated with the physical injury agent was resolved. Deep relaxation therapy effectively reduces pain in limb fracture patients. Recommendation: deep breath relaxation therapy can be used to reduce acute pain in patients with limb fractures
