Abstract
Background: Thypoid is an acute infection of the small intestine with symptoms of fever more than one week, resulting in digestive disorders and can reduce the level of consciousness. Signs and symptoms of typhoid are increased body temperature or fever. Objective: to provide an overview of nursing care with the application of tepid water sponge (TWS) to reduce the body temperature of children who have fever in typhoid patients Method: This method of scientific writing is descriptive method in the form of a case study. Data obtained from interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The case study subjects were 2 children aged 4-7 years who had typhoid fever. Results: After the study was conducted, temperature data were obtained in the case study subjects 38,60C and 38,80C, reddish skin tone, and warm palpable skin. The author gets hypertermetic nursing problems related to the disease process. Then arrange the Intervention which is monitoring the client's temperature, then collaborating on antipyretic administration, and the actions and tepid water sponge (TWS). The implementation of nursing done for 3x24 hours with the results of evaluating hypertermatic fidelity problems associated with the disease process can be resolved, evaluation carried out after tepid water sponge therapy was obtained by An.E experiencing a decrease in temperature of 1˚C, and An.I having a temperature decrease of 1,1˚C.
