Abstract

Background: Diabetes melitus is a disease caused by elevated level of blood sugar (glucose) resulting from a deficiency of insulin resistence. The world health organisation stated that Indonesia topped the list of 2016 to 4 of the number of diabetes melitus highest. DM that leads to ulcer DM is going to brother pattern comfort client, among others the occurrence of pain and wound diabetes. Therefore nursing care is needed to give treatments of injuries to reduce the risk of discomfort of the clients. Objective: To describe nursing care of diabetes melitus (dm) clients with the needs of security and covenience. Method: It was descriptive with case study approach of 2 clients. Data were collected from the interviews, observation and physical examination. Result: Nursing diagnosis include acute pain and damage to the integrity of the tissue. Wound care and breath techniques resolve the issue with the results of the occurrence of wound tissue repair and pain scale decreased from 7 to 3. Conclusions: Acute pain nursing problems and damage the integrity of the tissue were resolved. Recommendations: Breath technique is suggested to reduce acute pain, while wound care is important to repair the integrity of the tissue.
