Abstract
Background: This scientific paper is based on the data obtained from various literary sources stating that benigna prostat hiperplasia (BPH) in Indonesia becames the second-class disease after urinary tract disease. Indonesian population is more than 200 milion, it can be estimated about 2.5 milion men (over 60 years old) may suffer from BPH. The good nursing care is required to address the problem of patients especially pain. Objective : To describe nursing care for post surgery of BPH patients having acute pain in lotus ward of dr. Soedirman hospital Kebumen. Method : It used descriptive method in the from of nursing care, data obtained from interview, observation, physical axamination, and decumentation. The subjects were two acute pain patients associated with an agent physical hurt. Result: After conducting nursing care for three days, the pain intensity decreased by 4 and 4 respectively indicating that the nursing diagnosis: acute pain was solved. Recommendation: Relaxation exercise of deep breathing is suggested to deal with the acute pain.
