Abstract
Background: The prevalence of illnes kidney failure increases every year and must undergo hemodialysis. Dependence of patients on hemodialysis machine causes a change of roles, change jobs, economic life, and social life. A person who has a chronic illness such as chronic renal failure usually themselves less good reception. In the process of self-acceptance should be through the 5 phases of self-acceptances are denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance, and to receive a fact as chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis takes time. Objective: Knowing the response of self-acceptance chronic renal failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Method: The methods of the studyused non-experimental studies using quantitative descriptive design, sample size 153 respondents who have chronicrenal failure. The sampling was taken by using total sampling, with the questionnaire and the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis test. Results: The results of the study of 153 patients with reception itself both 88 respondents (57.5%), while the poor patient acceptance of 65 respondents (42.5%). And it takes time to accept themselves at most 3 months ie 61 respondents (42.5%). Conclusion: Respon acceptance in patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis are at most that self-acceptance good response and the time period to be able to receive 3 months. Recommendation: The results for further research is just recommended to see more details or details about the physical and psychological response to the reception of patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis.
