Abstract

Background, The behaviour of playing gadgets at the age of school children is very be appcehensive. It is estimated that cases of addiction to online games in Indonesia students reached 10.15%. The intensity of playing online games for a long time will take up the children time. If it happens continuously it will be caused the value in children learning achievement in learning be unsatisfactory. Purposes, Findting out games with the learning achievements of school students at junior high school of 4 Gombong. Methods, The study used a quantitative research with the correlative method using a retrospective approach. The sample of the study 66 respondents was taken using a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using description and correlative analysis using the Spearmank Rank test. The place and time of this research was conducted at junior high school 4 of Gombong on May 2019. Result, The frequency of playing online games in students junior high school of 4 Gombong shows that in the frequent category 63 respondents (95.5%). Learning achievement in school children in junior high school of 4 Gombong in the low category was 64 respondents (97.0%). The effect of playing online games on learning achievement in Grade VIII students of junior high school of 4 Gombong who played online games often with learning achievements as many as 62 respondents (98.4%) this can be interpreted that there is an influence between playing online games and learning achievement (p value: 0.001). Conclusion, There is an influence between playing online games on the learning achievements of students at junior high school of 4 Gombong. Recommendations, For further researchers, it is hoped that to researching online game behaviour in social personality, sleep quality and eye health.
