Abstract
Background : Chronic renal failure is a disorder of progressive renal function where the kidneys are damaged and unable to get rid of toxins and waste in the body's metabolism characterized by the presence of protein in the urine. Aim : Know the description of levels of family caregiver burden in patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis at PKU Muhammadiyah Deal. Method : This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive design with cross sectional approach. Sample amounted to 49 respondents drawn using Arikunto formula. Results: This study shows that the family caregiver burden in patients undergoing hemodialysis are subjectedexperiencing light load as many as 21 respondents (42.9%), the level of no-load or load a little bit as much as 10 respondents (20.4%), moderate load levels as much as 17 respondents (34.7%), heaviness of 1 respondent (2, 0%). As for the pressure personal and the role as much as 43 respondents (87.8%) had private pressure while respondents felt personal pressure as much as 6 respondents (12.2%). conclusion: Most of the family caregiver in patients with chronic renal failure undergoing light load as much as 21 respondents (42.9%) of the 49 respondents, whereas the most dominant pressure felt by the family caregiver is a personal pressure by 43 respondents (87.8%) of 49 respondents. Recommendations : So that examines the factors that cause the burden on family caregivers, so knowing the intervention to be given to family caregiver.
