Abstract
Background: Low birth weight babies (LBW) are babies born with a weight <2500 grams regardless of gestation. Babies with low birth weight are at risk of disruption of the body's system due to unstable body conditions. Nesting is used to give the right position to the neonate. Nesting affects the stability of respiratory frequency and the impact on body weight. Purpose: Explain Nursing Care by Giving Nesting to the Weight of Low Birth Babies (LBW) with Nursing Problems Ineffective Pattern of Breath in the Hospital Room RSUD Dr. Soedirman Kebumen. Results: The results of the study carried out by the author to the three patients obtained a nursing diagnosis that appeared, namely the problem of ineffective breathing patterns. Therapy given to patients is nesting use. The observation of respiratory frequency found that nesting use helps maintain a stable respiratory frequency. Conclusion: The use of nesting can be used to maintain respiratory stability in LBW.
