Abstract
Background: Congestive heart failure (CHF) is a complex collection of clinical syndromes caused by a disruption of structure or function and causes impaired ventricular filling or pumping of the heart. Handling in people who experience respiratory problems, nurses provide oxygen therapy to help the oxygenation needs. Non-pharmacological management uses a semi-fowler position. Objective: Explaining of nursing care by giving a semi-fowler position in patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) with nursing problems ineffective breathing patterns in the ICCU room dr. Soedirman Hospital at Kebumen. Results of nursing care: The study was carried out on three patients with Congestive heart failure (CHF) in alloanamnesa and auto-anamnesa, then physical and supporting examinations were carried out. From the data analysis, the authors draw the conclusion that priority nursing problems are ineffective breathing patterns. After the intervention was carried out and the implementation of giving a semi-fowler position for 3x24 hours, the patient was comfortable and there was a decrease in the RR (Respiration Rate). Recommendations: Provision of a semi-fowler position in patients with oxygenation disorders is proven in reducing the decrease in RR (Respiration Rate), soothing patients. In principle, the provision of the semi-fowler position should be carried out continuously so that it can help patients who experience oxygenation disorders can be overcome.
