Abstract
Background, Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is defined as myocardial necrosis caused by in adequate blood supply due to acute blockage in the coronary arteries. The technique of Guided Imagery is a method of relaxation to imagine places and events related to a pleasant sense of relaxation. Non-pharmacological management uses the technique of Guided Imagery. General Purpose, Explaining nursing of care by giving a technique of Guided Imagery to patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction with acute pain nursing problems in the ICCU Room of RSUD dr. Soedirman hospital at Kebumen. Result of nursing care, The study was conducted on three patients with Acute Miocardial Infarction in alloanamnesa and auto-imaging, then physical and supporting examinations were carried out. From the data analysis obtained by the author drawing conclusions priority nursing problems are acute pain. After intervention and the implementation of the 3x24 hour Guided Imagery technique, the patient felt safe and comfortable and there was a decrease in the scale of the pain being mild. Recommendations, Giving Guided Imagery techniques to patients with a safe and comfortable feeling disorder has been proven to be used to reduce the scale of pain, soothe patients to avoid anxiety /worry. The benefit of the technique of Guided Imagery is as a behavioral intervention to overcome anxiety, stress and pain. Thus reducing the scale of pain. As for it should be carried out continuously and independently so that the reduction in the scale of pain is more precisely efficient.
