Abstract
Background: Labor with section caesarea (SC) method continues to increase throughout the world. Based on data from the World Organization, the average section caesarea in a country is around 5-15% per 1000 births in the world. Section caesarea (SC) is an act of expulsion of the baby through abdominal surgery. the method of overcoming response in preoperative patients is psychological response (anxiety). The method of overcoming pre-SC maternal anxiety by using five-finger hypnosis. Objective: Finding out of the five-finger hypnosis effect on the anxiety level of preoperative caesarean anxiety in the Flamboyan Room of RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Method: This scientific work uses descriptive case study approach to 3 patients, in each patients given five-finger hypnosis therapy with a duration of 30 minutes and carried out for 5-7 hours. Results: There was a decrease in anxiaety signs and symptoms in 1st patient from 58 (moderate anxiety) to 38 (mild anxiety). In patients 2nd out of 54 (moderate anxiety) to 36 (mild anxiety). Whereas in patients 3rd out of 51 (moderate anxiety) to 35 (mild anxiety). Then the ability to do five-finger hypnosis therapy from all three patients is 100% according to the SOP. Recommendation: Five-finger hypnosis therapy needs to be applied to patients with preoperative SC with anxiety problems.
