Abstract
Background : Caring is a big problem in nursing professionalism. Caring is a current issue that is often alluded to in the world of nursing because nurses generally build a caring attitude but in fact the caring attitude shown by nurses is still far from the standard of nursing practice. The caring process will have an impact on the quality of nursing care services for patients, namely the results felt by patients caring such as feeling valued, being able to control themselves, feeling deeply personal, feeling close to family members, so as to improve physical healing. Objective : Knowing the caring process description of nurses on patient anxiety pre operation in the operating room induction room of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Method : The method in this study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The sampling technique in this study is snowball sampling so that the sample is three participants. Research Result : Based on the research that has been done, it was found that of the three participants in the caring process carried out and through several components, this caring has benefits which benefit the quality of nursing care services for patients, the results felt by patients such as feeling valued, capable of self control, deep feelings are personal, feel close to family members, so they can improve physical healing, security, excitement, and more comfort. Conclusion :Based on this research results obtained by sharing, mentoring patients, inviting patients to talk, giving enthusiasm and support, and maintaining trust in patients can reduce patient anxiety preoperative. Recommendation: The next researcher is expected to be used as input for conducting research related to the nurses caring process more specifically with the number of participants and different research sites.
