Abstract
Backgroud: breastfeeding coverage is up to 50%, but only 44% have succeded in lactation in the first hour after the birth. Early lactation or giving initial breast milk in the first hour after birth will stimulate the increase of prolactation. The posiition of a baby on mother’s breast while breastfeeding. This is because the baby has a natural reflek to suck the nipple which will stimulate breast milk production. Objective: to know the application of combination techniques of back massage and clary sage aromatherapy on postpartum mothers to increase breast milk production. Method: this scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, literary study, documentation, procedural operation standard, and observation sheets. The participants were 5 postpartum mothers. Result: After applying combination technique of back massage and clary sage aromatherapy, there was an increase in the breast milk production. Conclution: Combination technique of back massage and clary sage aromatherapy on postpartum mothers can help mother increase their breast milk production.
