Abstract
Background: The number of HIV or AIDS cases was increasing, i.e. 11 HIV sufferers and 33 AIDS sufferers in 2015. This is like an iceberg phenomenan that the real number of sufferers is larger than what can be be found. Therefore, the writer is interested in applying health education using booklet media to improve knowledge of fertile-age women about HIV/AIDS. Objective: To apply health education for women of childbearing age using booklet media to improve their knowledge about HIV/AIDS. Method: This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data was collected through interviews, questionnaires and literature studies. Participants are 5 fertile-age women. Result: After being given health education for 5 days, there was an improvement of knowledge of all participant about HIV and AIDS, i.e. from fair knowledge becomes good knowledgable ( well-informed).
