Abstract
Background: Prickly heat (miliaria) is a skin disease in children. The cause of prickly heat is partly due to the hot and humid air of ultraviolet (UV) light and due to clothing that does not absorb sweat to accelerate healing and inhibit the spread of prickly heat can use virgin coconut oil (VCO) Objective: To implement virgin coconut oil (VCO) to treat prickly heat in infants at PMB Diana Yulita A, Amd. Keb. Method: The researcher used a descriptive analytical method with a case study approach. This application involved 5 participants as a case study. Results: After applying virgin coconut oil (VCO) there was a decrease in miliaria symptoms from 3 participants experiencing miliaria rubra to miliaria profunda and two participants experiencing miliaria profunda to miliaria kristalina. Conclusion: The application of virgin coconut oil (VCO) is effective in treating prickly heat in infants.
