Abstract

Background: in Indonesia, there were 26,464 traffic accidents with 13,234 incident of vulnus laceratum. While in PKU Muhammadiyah Sruweng Hospital,the number of cases of lacerations vulnus in January to December 2017 were 12 patients hospitazed, and 547 patients were outpatient. Suturing of wounds on the lacerations of the lacerations can reduce the occurrence of infections, but sewing procedures that do not conform to standards can actually cause nosocomial infections Objective: to determine the relationship of compliance of lacerations vulnus wound suturing procedures with the incidence of suture wound infection in emergency room of PKU Muhammadiyah Sruweng Hospital. Reserarch method: this study was an observational study with a cross sectional approach. samples were 56 respondents. sample were taken by purposive sampling technique. Analyze data using Kendal tau. Results: Relationship of adherence in the laceration vulnus wound suturing procedure with the incidence of infection was p=0,000 Conclusions: There was a significant relationship between adherece to the laceration vulnus wound suturing procedure and the incidence of infection with a value of p+0,000 Reccommation: motivation for all nurses to apply aseptic principles as one of the prevention of laceration vulnus infections
