Abstract

Background: According to WHO 2018 data in Indonesia, the incidence of dysmenorrhea is 86% among productive ages, of which 57% complain of activity being limited due to dysmenorrhea. On average more than 75% of women in each country experience disminore. Objective: The aim of this study was to explain nursing care given to patients with desminore through slow deep breathing exercises. Method: In this case study using the assessment method using the format of nursing care, the instrument used id observation of Slow Deep Breathing which contains vital signs and assessment of PQRST by referring to the Slow Deep Breathing SOP. Nursing Care Results: After the assessment is carried out until the slow deep beathing action is given, it is known that the first patients is Ms. M day pain scale from scale 5 to scale 3. Second patient Ms. S scale of 7 to scale 5. Third patient Ms. L scale of pain from scale 6 to scale 5. Recommendation: It is expected that slow deep breathing action will be more applied to disminore patients, for further reesearchers it is expected to be applied to patients other than disminore.
