Abstract
Background: The incidence rate of dysmenorrhea primary type in Indonesia is around 54, 89 % while the rest is dysmenorrhea secondary. Dysmenorrhea happen on teenager with prevalence ranging between 43% and 93%, and around 74-80% of them experience light dysmenorrhea. Based on the Census of Statistics Centre Board of Central Java here in 2010, there are 1,518,867 teenagers who experienced dysmenorrheal. The writer is, therefore, interested in applying the combination of effleurage massage and green coconut water to decrease dysmenorrhea pain on teenagers aged 13-15 years. Objective: To know the application of combination of effleurage massage and green coconut water in reducing dysmenorrhea pain on teenagers in the age of 13-15 years old. Method: This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with case study approach. The participants are 5 teenagers in the age of 13-15 years old. The instruments used are observation sheet of pre and post numerical pain scale. Result: After having the application of the combination of effleurage massage and green coconut water, there was a decrease in pain scale of all participants. On the first day, 2 participants experienced medium pain, while 3 of them experienced light pain. On the third day, all participants experienced light pain. Conclusion: Effleurage massage and green coconut water can reduce the incidence of dysmenorrhea on adolescents aged 13 – 15 years in Independent Midwifery Clinic of Midwife Djumi Widarti .
