Abstract
Background: The anxiety rate of pregnant mother in facing labor is still high. In 2012 the risk of the incidence of depression or anxiety in facing vaginal labor (delivery) in Indonesia was 10-25%. which is mostly suffered by mothers in the age of 20-44 years old. Provding information through a video about a normal delivery process can be done to reduce the anxiety. Objective: This study aims to conduct education using video about normal labor process as an effort to reduce the anxiety in facing labor of third trimester pregnant mothers. Method: This study is an analytical descriptive with a case study. Participants were 5 pregnant mothers in trimester III. Data were collected through interview, questionnaire and literary study. Result: After having educational video about normal labor process, there was a decrease in anxiety level of all participants, i,e. 2 participants having severe anxiety (60%). Conclusion: The application of educational video about normal labor process can reduce anxiety in facing labor for third trimester pregnant mothers.
