Abstract
Background: CHF disease is a major problem for people according to WHO shows that in 2012 there were 17.5 million or about 48% of the total deaths caused by heart failure. One way to reduce hypertension by non-pharmacological methods. This is done by slow deep breathing Objective: The purpose of this study was to explain nursing care given to patients with reduced cardiac output in Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) patients at ICCU Hospital Prof. Dr. Soekarjo Purwokerto. Method: In this case study using the assessment method using the format of nursing care, the instrument used is the bedside monitor, the ABN brand stestoscope, the observation sheet Slow Deep Breathing, carried out in 3 patients for 3 days. Nursing Care Results: After the assessment is carried out until the slow deep breathing action is given, it is known that the first patient is Mr. S respiratory status from 26 x / minute to 21 x / min. Second patient Mr. F respiratory status from 35 x / minute to 18 x / minute. Third patient Ny. T respiratory status from 37 x / minute to 24 x / minute. Recommendation: It is expected that slow deep breathing actions will be more applied to CHF patients, and the researchers are expected to be applied to patients other than CHF.
