Abstract
Background: Hospitalization is chil care at the hospital and which the condition of the patient such be entert in the hospital. Hospitalization is also an unpleasant condition especially in children who are still in the process to grow up. Child morbidity rates in Indonesian are grouped from ages 0-4 years as much as 28.8%,ages 5-12 years much many 14.91%, ages 13-15 years much many 9.1% and ages 16-21 years much many 8.13%. the incidence of weight loss during hospitalization much many 24.8% of children experienced a weight loss >2% of total body weight. Objective: This Scribing the change in body weight of children daring hospitalization at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong hospital. Method: this Study used a descriotive observational method design with cross-sectional to 100 respondents with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. data colection using digital stepping scales and observation sheets. Data analysis used univariate analysis with frecquency distribution presented in numerical form. Result: From the results, 100 respondent observation and weighting of the results obtained based on sex characteristics were mostly male 54 patient (54%), 1-2 years old as many as 29 patient and madical diagnoses had the most febrile as many as 55 patients (55%). The lenght of time for hospitalization is an average of 2-3 days with 81 patients (81%). Shild's weight at the time for weight when leaving the hospital is at least 6.15 kilgrams and a maximum of 22.75 kilograms. While the result of changes in body weight obtained on average children experienced a fixed weight of 51 patients (51%). Conclusion: It can concluded that the description of changes in the child's weight when hospitalized in PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong hospital the average fixed weight did not decrease. Recommendation: For futher rescarchers, it is recommended to conduct research on relationship of changes in body weight of children with psychocial.
