Abstract
Background: Pain is an experience of someone who is portrayed differently each person. Every individual has the experience of pain in a certain scale. Pain is subjective, and the individual's perception of pain experience. From the research some patients with postoperative abdominal pain of moderate intensity (57.4%), followed by mild pain intensity (22.2%), and the remaining patients with severe pain intensity (20.4%). And according to Sutanto (2004 & Cit Novarizki 2009) Post-surgery patients experience severe pain among 75% of patients had a less pleasant experience due to inadequate pain management. Nursing goal: to meet the needs of safety and comfort for patients. Nursing care: Complaints Main Painful sores post-op, the client says pain in the area of the former oprasi, pain appears when moving, pain like 'pins and needles, pain in the wound postoperative lower right abdomen, pain scale 6, pain intermittent duration of 3 minutes. Analysis Measures: use progressive muscle relaxation distraction techniques can reduce the pain scale. The patient was given a distraction, progressive muscle relaxation technique say the pain has subsided. Conclusions: patients with penbedahan surely will experience acute pain can be the disruption of security and comfort needs, so they can do progressive muscle relaxation distraction techniques.
