Abstract
Background: Patients with an inguinal hernia in their treatment need surgery, which aims to save the patient's life. Some responses from surgery, patients experience anxiety, fear, panic and anxiety, cold sweats on the hands and feet, increased breathing, headaches, sleep disturbances, nausea and vomiting and even indigestion. The signs and symptoms that appear above are a form of psychology from anxiety one of the action for anxiety using dzikir therapy and 5 finger hypnotherapy. Objective: Describes signs and symptoms anxiety in patients pre and post inguinal hernia surgery using the application of a combination of dzikir therapy and 5-finger hypnotherapy in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Sruweng. Method: Analytic descriptive with a case study approach in patient 3 actions were carried out for 3 meetings, with duration in patients one 20 minutes the patients is two 30 minutes and the patients is 20 minutes. Results of nursing care: improvement in patient 2's ability to do therapy before being given dzikir therapy (25% less), patient's 5 finger hypnotherapy (25% less), improvement in patient 2's ability to do therapy after being given dzikir therapy (50% is enough), 5 fingers hypnotherapy for patient 2 (75% good). Recommendation: Dhikr therapy and 5-finger hypnotherapy can be applied to the patients pre and post inguinal hernia surgery.
