Abstract
Background: Cervical cancer is a cancer that grows in the cervix, the border between the uterus and vagina. Advanced cervical cancer patients with chemoradiation therapy are at risk for malnutrition. Maintaining the nutritional status of cancer patients is important to maintain the nutritional status of patients in good condition. It is necessary to provide health education about nutrition to Cervical Ca clients Objective: to describe the results of the analysis of nursing care for cervical Ca patients with an imbalance in nutrition less than the body's needs in the Teratai Room Prof. Margono Soekarjo Hospital Purwokerto. Method: This scientific work uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. Case study instrument using SAP Leaflet about nutrition in patients with Cervical Ca. Data obtained from the results of observation of interviews, physical examinations, and study documentation. The subjects consisted of 3 cervical cancer patients with the main problem of nutritional imbalance less than the body's needs Results of nursing care: The results of a study carried out on patients with cervical Ca were found to say that they did not know about the nutritional needs of cervical Ca patients and seemed to ask questions about the nutritional needs of patients with cervical Ca. Priority nursing diagnoses in patients with Cervical Ca are lack of knowledge related to lack of information about nutrition. Nursing interventions and implementation that are carried out are examining patient and family knowledge about nutrition, explain the nutritional needs of patients with Cervical Ca, help patients identify nutritional needs, demonstrate the nutritional needs of patients and provide health counseling using leaflets and flipcharts. Evaluation results indicate an increase in understanding of nutritional needs in patients with Cervical Ca. Before the application of health education to the participants, they seemed to ask questions about the nutritional needs of patients with Cervical Ca, but after the application of the patient seemed to be able to answer the questions given. Recommendations: The results of this nursing care can be used as a reference for the preparation of SOPs to increase knowledge about nutrition in patients with Cervical Ca.
