Abstract
Background: Hypertension is a disease characterized by an increase in blood pressure above the normal limit, with a diastolic value of more than 140 mmHg and a systolic value of ,ore than 90 mmHg. Most hypertension is suffered when stepping on older adults, and the elderly. One of the factors is due to alack of good lifestlye patterns that are not right, lazy to exercise, most stress. High blood pressure in the ages of 20-30 years to 50 years of age increases the rate of hypertension according to the age age of 15%, in young adults up to 60% in adults aged 65 years and above. the incidence of hypertension in Indonesia in children and adolescents varies from 3.11% to 4.6% Research purposes: to find out the description of knowledge about hypertension management in the area of Kroya Health Center 1. Method: This risearch is a quantitative descriptive study with a cross-sentional approach, the population in this study were 454 respondents, the sample used purposive sampling as many as 82 samples. Research result: Shows that diet managemnt knowledge is the adequate category 940.2%) while for drug management knowledge is in the good category (46.3%), knowledge management activities are in the less category (52.4%), and stress management knowledge is in the adequate category (41,5%) Conclusion: Most knowledge about hypertension management in the health center area 1 knowledge of diet management is in the sufficient category, knowledge of drug management is in a good category, knowledge of activity management is the less and stress management is in sufficient category. Recommendation: This study suggested using a qualitative method so that is would in dept about the managemnt of hipertension.
