Abstract
Background: Efforts to improve the quality of hospital either by minimizin the occurrence of Healthcare Associated Infections (Hais). Health care-associated infection or Healthcare Associated Infection (Hais) is a big problem facing the hospital and is still quite high in Indonesia. The most effective way to break the chain of transmission of the infection is by applying the five moments of hand hygiene. Based on the findings in the emergency room instalation Dr. Soedirman Kebumen hospital many nurses and midwives who do not comply implement five moments of hand hygiene. So, researches are interested in researching currelation working environment, motivation, knowledge, work experience with compliance of five moments hand hygiene. Objective: Determining the factors affecting compliance with five moments of hand hygiene nurses and midwives in the emergency room instalation at Dr. Soedirman Kebumen hospital. Methods: This research is a correative descriptive study using eross sectional appoach. Sampling technique in this research is total sampling, wich meet the inclusion and creteria as many as 33 respondents and using statistical test kendal tau. Result: Indicates that knowledge with 0.416 value p (p>0.05), wich menas knowledge of factors not related to the five moments of hand hygiene compliance. While the work environment with 0,013 value p (p<0.05), experience of working with value= 0,036 p (p<0.05), and the motivation to work with p value = 0.018 (p<0.05), with means that environmental factors employment, work experince and work motivation related to the five moments of hand hygiene compliance. Conclusion: Factors related to the five moments of hand hygiene compliance of nurses and midwives in the emergency mom instalation Dr. Soedirman Kebumen Hospital are a work enveronment, work experience and work motivation. Recommedation : For further researcher that has a theme related to this study are expected to add about 6 abservation of hand hygiene measures.
