Abstract
Background: The prevalence of Indonesian population diagnosed with pulmonary TB by health workers is 0.4%. TB is a chronic disease, one of the key to the success of the treatment is adherence of patients to always take medication every day. Long-term TB treatment, makes the patient bored causing high patient disobedience. One alternative solution to overcome non-compliance is the use of smart calendars as a reminder for taking medication for TB patients. Objective: Explaining of the effectiveness of a smart calendar on medication compliance in TB patients at Health Center Sruweng. Method: This scientific paper used a descriptive case study design. The case study subjects were 3 clients with TB, who experienced health maintenance ineffectiveness problems. Data collection using observation, interview and documentation study. Results: Based on The three TB patients found a change from non-adherence to being obedient after applying the smart calendar for 2 weeks. Conclusion: After implementing a smart calendar, there is an increase in client compliance in taking medicine according to the schedule.
