Abstract

Background: Hypertension is the main risk factor for cardiovascular diseases which causes the third highest number of deaths in the world and is the highest cause of death in Indonesia. Treatment of hypertension can be done by pharmacological and non-pharmacological. Non-pharmacological therapy that can be done to reduce complaints and lower blood pressure in hypertensive patients is through meditation / remembrance ... Purpose: Explain Nursing Care by giving dzikir therapy to decrease blood pressure in patients with hypertension at RSU Aghisna Kroya Cilacap. Results of nursing care: Nursing actions performed on Ny.K, Ny.T, Ny.S are advocating to carry out routine dhikr therapy for 3 days after prayer. Of the three patients, two patients were irregular in carrying out dhikr therapy. One patient carried out regularly even when there was free time used to make dhikr. Of the three patients, only SIS can reduce blood pressure to 10 mmHg within 3 days. Recommendation: Dhikr therapy can be used as a reference to treat hypertension independently before seeking treatment at a health service center.
