Abstract

Background: Stroke is a serious health problem because it requires prompt and appropriate emergency treatment. Stroke is a disease that is difficult to detect early by ordinary people, a method that can be used to detect patients experiencing hemorrhagic or non-hemorrhagic strokes is to use the Siriraj Stroke Score (SSS) method. Objective: Explaining of nursing care in patients with nursing problems ineffectiveness of brain tissue perfusion through the effectiveness of the method (SSS) to determine the type of stroke experienced by patients. Results: The method (SSS) is very effective and is able to detect the type of stroke experienced by the patient. Patient 1 was given a score (SSS) +1, namely hemorrhagic stroke, and patient 2 were given a score of -3, namely non-hemorrhagic stroke. Recommendation: Nurses are expected to be able to apply the method (SSS) to prevent the occurrence of morbidity and mortality in stroke patients, especially in health care centers that do not yet have complete facilities such as CT scans or MRI.
