Abstract
Background: Quality of drug storage is important to guarantee the quality of drugs, prevent drugs from being damaged and expired, and drug abuse. Some studies show different storage conditions between the medical center. The quality of medicine storage in inpatient services and non-inpatients is estimated to be different because of the differences in resources, tools and infrastructure, and the type and number of drugs. Purposes : Knowing and comparing the quality of drug storage in inpatient (gombong 1) and non- inpatient health centers (sempor 1) measured by indicators of the physical suitability of drugs with card stock, dead stock values, expired or damaged drugs, suitability of FEFO drug storage, storage of special drugs and storage which ensures the stability of the drug (temperature). Method : Descriptive quantitative methods, observational, cross sectional using prospective. Results : Percentage of physical compatibility of drugs with stock cards at Puskesmas Gombong 1 and Sempor 1 were 98.85% and 68.99%, dead stock values were 0.00% and 5.43%, expired or damaged drugs were 4.30% and 1.55%, suitability of drug storage in FEFO, storage special drugs, storage areas that guarantee the stability of the drug (temperature) of 100% each. Conclusion : There is a difference in the quality of drug storage in the two health centers on indicators of physical compatibility of drugs with card stock, dead stock value, and the value of expired or damaged drugs, while indicators of suitability of storage of FEFO drugs, special drug storage and places that guarantee drug stability (temperature) there is no difference and already efficient. Recommendation : Future studies can add to the number of inpatient and non-inpatient health centers and analyze the factors that influence them drug storage process.
