Abstract

The problem faced being in the world both in developed countries, developing countries and poor countries one of which is a health problem. Good services to improve health of people in the world have been endeavored by the World Health Organization (WHO). The World Health Organization (WHO) has determined indicators of prescribing patterns, which include average number of drugs per encounter, percentage of drugs prescribed by generic name, percentage of encounters with an antibiotic, injection prescribed, and drugs prescribed from essential druds list or formulary. The purpose of this study was to determine outpatient prescriptions of PKU Muhammadiyah Petanahan hospital in 2019. Outpatien prescriptions were colected retrospectively from January-December 2019. The sample used was 386 recipes.The results of this study were average number of drugs per encounter 3,29. Percentage of drugs prescribed by generic name and drugs prescribed from essential druds list or formulary were lower from WHO 1993 standard are 55,1% and 75%. Percentage of encounters with an antibiotic and injection prescribed were lower from WHO 1993 standard are 11,25% and 1,3%.
