Abstract

Background, a method of procurement of medicine in Puskesmas Padaherang is control by the demand of LPLPO (Lembar Pemakaian dan Permintaan Obat) to district health offices. Except, in the condition of drug required were not available, Puskesmas has the authority to get the medicines by direct purchase. The purpose of the study is to see how the influence of procurement method through LPLPO demand and the direct purchase to district health offices. The method of this research is observational descriptive with a cross-sectional analysis with retrospective data collection. The result of the study showed ninety-ninety-nine samples type of medicines that held by used LPLPO, status the availability of medicines are good, safe, and excess, and from five of medicines that were directly purchased, the majority status is available safety. The statistical test indicates analysis value p= 0.390 or more than 0.005 indicates there is no significant influence between procurement to health agency with the provision through the purchase of indirect positive impact on the availability of medicines. In conclusion, a method of procurement does not significantly influence the impact on the availability of medicines in Puskesmas Padaherang, Pangandaran district. The recommendation of the study is for the next researcher, it is needed to do the monthly evaluation of medicines availability in a year period, to get the accurate information about the medicines availability for that month.
