Abstract

Introduction : The soursop (Annona muricata L.) is a medicinal plant that belongs to the family Annonaceae. Soursop leaves contain flavonoids, saponins, tannins and several other chemical contents including acetogenin which have cytotoxic potential. Objective : This study aims to determine the potential acute toxicity of soursop leaf extract (Annona muricata L.) against Artemia salina Leach larva. Methode : The research used was the Brine Shrimp Lathality Test (BSLT) using 10 larvae of Artemia salina Leah divided into 4 treatment concentrations, 5 μg / mL, 10 μg / mL, 20 μg / mL, 30 μg / mL and 1 negative control and 3 replications Result : Larva mortality was calculated after 24 hours by probit analysis, the LC50 value of 10.5 μg / mL. Conculsion : Toxicity test on soursop leaf (Annona muricata L.) acetone extract has very toxic potential, because the LC50 value <1000 μg / mL.
