Abstract

Background : Medicinal plants are effective in relieving pain, increasing endurance and curing diseases passed down from generation to generation through the experience of ancestors. Ethnobotany is a science that involves interaction between humans and plants and their use by humans related to history, physical and environmental factors, and the benefits of these plants. Research Objectives: The purpose of this study is to study knowledge and find out how people use medicinal plants. Research methods : This research method uses snowball sampling technique which is done by interviewing and presenting data with qualitative methods. The research took place in 5 villages namely Pakuran, Donosari, Trikarso, Giwangretno and Jabres villages. Results : The results of this study were the largest family types of Zingiberaceae by 13.3%. The most commonly used plant parts are leaves as much as 36.7%, the most diverse habitats are herbs with an amount of 33.3%, the method of processing that is often used is boiled at 40.0%, and the method of use that is often done is by drinking as much as 73.3%. Conclusion : The conclusions of this study showed 60 types of plants and grouped into 30 families.
