Abstract

Background, Fractures are disconnections of bone continuity, cracks or broken bones intact. Open Reduction and Internal Fixation surgery, it’s open reduction and fixation by restoring movement, stability, reducing pain and disabitability. Non-pharmacological management uses Slow Deep Breathing therapy. General Purpose, Explain nursing care by giving Slow Deep Breathing Therapy to Post Orif Femur patients with acute pain nursing problems in the Lotus Room RSUD dr. Soedirman Hospital at Kebumen. The result of nursing care, The assessment was carried out on three Post Orif Femur patients in an alloanamnesa and auto-surgery, then physical and supporting examinations were carried out. From the data analysis obtained by the author drawing conclusions priority nursing problems are acute pain. After intervention and implementation of Slow Deep Breathing therapy for 3x24 hours, the patient felt safe and comfortable and there was a decrease in the scale of pain being mild. Recommendations, Provision of Slow Deep Breathing therapy in patients with impaired safety and comfort can be proven to be used to reduce the scale of pain, soothe patients to avoid anxiety / worry. In principle Slow Deep Breathing therapy is a conscious action to Regulate Deep and Slow Breathing that can relax so as to reduce the scale of pain. It should be carried out continuously and independently so that the reduction in the scale of pain is more efficient
