Abstract

Background: Hallucinations are one of the most common mental illnesses for patients, from year to year the number of mental disorders throughout Indonesia is increasing every year. Individual therapy in hallucinatory patients can help improve cognitive and psychomotor abilities of patients to control halusination and reduce the intensity of halusinatory signs and symptoms so as to reduce the further effects of hallucinations experienced. Object: This scientific work aims to be able to carry out nursing care to patients with sensory impairment of hallucinations in a comprehensive manner in Mental Hospital of Grhasia Yogyakarta. Method: This scientific work uses a descriptive analytic method with a case study approach with 3 patients with sensory perception disorders: hallucinations. The research instruments used were the hallucination assessment form, the jjwa nursing care form, the evaluation form of the patient's signs and symptoms in controlling hallucinations, the strategies for implementing the hallucinations, the SOP for hallucinatory nursing actions and the activity schedule form. Results: Nursing problems were sensory perception disorders: hallucinations. The intervention used is using the implementation strategy. After being given nursing care for 3 days, it succeeded reduced the signs and symptoms of sensory perception disorders: hallucinations. P1 of 8 indicators become 6 indicators of signs and symptoms, P2 of 8 indicators become 4 indicators of signs and symptoms, P3 of 7 indicators become 3 indicators of signs and symptoms. Decreased signs and symptoms of halusination in all three patients, P1 by 29,1%, P2 58,3%, P3 by 41,6%. Evaluation of the ability of the three patient in controlling hallucination after benging given an innovation TAK stimulation hallucination perception increased. TAK innovation stimulation of hallucinatory perception is very effective in reducing signs and symptoms of hallucinations. Recommendation: The provision of patient nursing care is suggested to be applied to patients with sensory perception disorders: hallucinations in Mental Hospital
