Abstract
Background: The high risk of elderly people affected by hypertension is caused by changes that occur during the addition of age or the so-called aging process. Who mention prevalency increased blood pressure 40 percent occur in adult and elderly. Giving a source of potassium contained in tomatoes can help reduce blood pressure. Objective: Analyzing nursing care in elderly hypertension with nursing problems the risk of ineffective perfusion of cerebral tissue by the act of giving tomato juice. Method: Writing this paper is an analytic descriptor with a case study approach. The sample used in this study were 3 hypertensive sufferers. Results: There was a decrease in blood pressure after nursing innovations given tomato juice for 3 meetings in the three patients under management. Case I from 166/96 mmHg to 141/82 mmHg, case II from 157/90 mmHg to 142/84 mmHg, case III from 154/92 mmHg to 143/84 mmHg. Conclusion: The author draws the conclusion that giving tomato juice to people with hypertension can reduce blood pressure
