Abstract

Background: Woolwich massage is a breast massage therapy to overcome the ineffectiveness of breastfeeding in post partum mothers in early birth. Woolwich massage can be done to facilitate the breast production. Objective: To describe nursing care by applying woolwich massage to increase breastfeeding producted in post partum mothers. Method: This type of research was descriptive using a case study approach, the number of samples in this study of 2 post partum mothers, data obtained by interviews, observations, physical examinations, instruments used breastfeeding adequacy assessment sheets and breastfeeding production observation sheets before and after a wollwich massage. Results: The woolwich massage action are performed on Client 1 Mrs. S and Client 2 Mrs. I, the action is carried out twice a day morning and evening during 3 visits with 15 minutes, the problem of nursing ineffectiveness of breastfeeding is resolved with the results of the visible results of breast milk seeping from the breast, frequency of breastfeeding > 8-12 times a day, breasts tense before breastfeeding Recommendation: Woolwich massage therapy can increase breastfeeding producted in post partum mothers.
