Abstract

Background: The incidence of acute abdominal pain is reported to be a severe cas of surgical emergency or non-surgical emergency. The main nursing problem that arise is pain. Non-pharmacological pain manajemen is on of them with relaxation and distraction. however, there is no written procedure regarding relaxation techniques to reduce pain in patients with abdominal pain. Objective: To explain the effect of the relaxation distraction technique on reducing pain levels in abdominal pain patients at PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital in Sruweng, Method: This scientific paper uses a descriptive case study design. The case study subjects were 3 patients with abdominal pain, who experienced pain problems. Data collection using observation, interview and documentation study techniques. Results: Based on three patients experiencing major nursing problems; Comfort feeling disorders: Pain associated with biological injury agents Conclusion: The results of the evaluation on Abdominal Pain patients after the relaxation distraction technique is performed are reduced pain.
