Abstract

Background fracture is a fracture that is usually caused by trauma or physical exertion, handling fracture surgery can be performed ORIF (Open Reduction Internal Fixation), one of the complaints that often arise after surgery is pain, pain in patients with fractures, if not addressed will increase blood pressure and pulse, as well as the effect on the functional pattern a day - day, treatment can be done to overcome the pain of one of them is a warm compress of ginger, this therapy is a form of therapy to comfort skin stimulus that has health benefits that allow the body to feel the changes to the pain response. Purpose describe the nursing care of acute pain in patients with extremity fractures postoperative application of warm compresses jaheuntuk troubleshooting reduction in pain intensity in patients post ORIF (Open Reduction Internal Fixation). Method analytic used is descriptive case study approach to 2 clients who are experiencing pain post ORIF (Open Reduction Internal Fixation). Result interventions and implementation needs to be done to overcome the pain is through distraction, relaxation, breathing exercises inside, music therapy, stimulus skin with a compress, aroma therapy, guided imagery and early ambulation, one that does is therapeutic stimulus skin with a warm compress of ginger, after obtained therapy scaling back the pain. Recommendation ginger warm compresses therapy used for pain patients post ORIF (Open Reduction Internal Fixation) and can be applied both at home and in the community
