Abstract

Background: Adolescents who are in puberty usually experience menstruation, as a sign of the maturity of the reproductive organs. During menstruation the client will experience a disorder called premenstrual syndrome (PMS), these symptoms last for 7-10 days before menstruation occurs, and symptoms will disappear along with the completion of menstruation, physical symptoms arising from PMS are mood swings and mental changes. From various symptoms that arise such as, cramps, abdominal pain, headaches, flatulence, and anxiety. There are symptoms that are commonly experienced by women when PMS is anxiety. Anxiety is a sence of worry or fear that cannot be avoided from dangerous things. Purpose: Describes nursing care for clients with the premenstrual syndrome with anxiety in the work area of the Health centre care of Sempor 1. Research Methods: In this case study the authors used descriptive data collection techniques with a literature study approach in K1 and K2 who experience premenstrual syndrome with anxiety. The data was obtained trough interviews for 5 consercutive days, the first day was done pre-test and post-test, the second day was given an example of breathing relaxation technique therapy for 10 minute and repeated 3 times until the patient felt comfortable, after 3 days in a row post-tests were also conducted and meetings were held once a day. And observations, documentation, and then the data were analyzed from pre-test and post-test. The Results: After the application of deep breathing relaxation therapy using aromatherapy to PMS client anxiety, is able to reduce the level of client anxiety, from the beginning of the K1 and K2 assessments the score results are included in the moderate anxiety category, after being implemented for 5 consecutive days, the client is able to reduce the level of anxiety after being measured using the DASS questionnaire on H5, K1 and K2 get results in the normal category. Recommendation: In carrying out nursing care the writer acts as a therapist, the writer is expected to be able to become a role model for client, and pay attention to ethics in conducting case studies
