Abstract

Background: Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) patients the symptoms caused by shortness of breath, chest pain, and fatigue especially during activity, due to decreased cardiac output. Objective: Finding out the provide and implement nursing care ineffectiveness of breath patterns in Congestive Heart Failure patient (CHF) in the emergency installation of Banyumas Public Hospital. Method: The study used a descriptive case study method. Data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation. Result: Results from the assessment of data analysis obtained the problem of treatment of ineffectiveness of breath patterns. The intervention is positioning Semifowler for easy ventilation, examining auscultation of breath sound, giving 02 as needed, monitor status 02 and respiration, monitor the vital signs and Sp02, administering pharmacological therapy, Provide complementary Diaphragmatic Breathing. The result of Deep Diaphragmatic Breathing therapy is proven effective in lowering respiration and increasing the oxygen saturation on the problem of ineffectiveness of breathe patterns. Recommendations: After performing Deep Diaphragmatic Breathing respiratory therapy from both patients experiencing decreased respiration and increased oxygen saturation. The first patients experienced a decrease in the RR to 20 times/minutes and an increase of SP02 to 100, the second patient decreased RR to 20 times/minutes and increased Sp02 to 100.
