Background : Hypertension is know as a silent killer, it is unknown, does not show signs and symptoms typical of the victim, can cause death. Many things are related to hypertension in the elderly, one of which is physical activity walking. Research Objectives : To determine the effect of morning foot physical activity to reduce blood pressure in the elderly. Research Methods : The method used was quasi-experimental, one group comparative design. The sampling technique is non-random sampling, and sampling technique uses the Slovin technique, so that the number of samples in this study is 46 respondents. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and experimentation using paired t-test. Result : Before physical activity most of the morning walks were in the category of stage 2 hypertension 160-179 mmHg (56.5%). After doing, in the category of stage 1 hypertension 140- 159 mmHg (97.8%). Conclusion : There is an effect of physical activity on walking in the morning on a decrease in blood pressure, the results of the three studies before and after walking, that ρ < 0.005 means that there is an effect of blood pressure before and after physical activity on walking in the morning. Recommendation : Future researchers are expected to be able to examine the differences in the lenght of time walking and the use of footwear on blood pressure stability in the elderly.
