Abstract

Background: Mortality or death is the permanent disappearance of all signs of life, which can occur any time after a live birth (World Health Organization). Age, Gender, Family History of Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), Smoking, Hypertension Obesity as a factor affecting mortality in Acute Coronary Syndrome patients. Objective: To determine the age, sex, family history of the acute coronary syndrome (ACS), smoking, hypertension, obesity as factors that influence mortality in patients with acute coronary syndrome during treatment. Methods: This study used a descriptive observational type method with design crosssectional which each research subject was only observed once at the same time. Sampling using an accidental sampling technique. The number of samples was 40 ACS patients who met the inclusion criteria. Evaluation of risk factors for age, sex, family history of the acute coronary syndrome (ACS), smoking, hypertension, obesity, and then bivariate data analysis using Chisquare. Results: Age p = 0.477, sex p = 0.101, Family History of Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) p = 0.433, Smoking p = 0.008, Hypertension p = 0.000, Obesity p = 0.002. Conclusion: smoking habits, history of hypertension, obesity are factors that influence mortality rates of patients with ACS. Recommendation: Future researchers are expected to be able to further deepen the study by examining the history of previous heart disease, history of comorbidities such as DM, Stroke.
