Abstract

Background: Maternal nutritional status during pregnancy affects fetal growth. The knowledge and information obtained to allow a person to adopt values and knowledge that can influence thought patterns and action patterns and then processed to produce a decision to act or show an attitude. The ability of this audiovisual media is considered better and more attractive. Objectives: Determining the effectiveness of audio-visual media on the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women about the nutrition of pregnant women in the Pejagoan Health Center Area. Methods: This quantitative research method used quays experiment method with pre-test post-test design with control group design. Results: The results showed that in the control group and the intervention group there was an influence of knowledge and attitudes about the nutrition of pregnant women using audio-visual media (p=0.000) and there was a significant difference between the control group and the intervention group (p=0.000). Conclusion: Indicate a good chance. These results indicate that there is a difference in pre and post which means that these results are influential. Recommendation: Effective to be done in increasing the knowledge and attitudes of nutrition in pregnant women.
